Five steps to a developing a Men’s Empowerment program:
.Meet with the Senior Pastor or Men’s Pastor to gain insight on the current status of the men’s ministry. Hear the pastor’s heart in order to understand what he would like to see in the men’s ministry. This assessment can begin with a telephone conversation or meeting
.The pastor selects 3-5 men for strategic planning and systems thinking. This includes defining the role of each person and helping him discover his skill sets and leadership ability. This session will occur face to face with selected men. This planning groups develops the mission, vision and goals for the renewed men’s ministry.
.Perform an assessment on ministries of the church where men are needed to get involve. Plan calendar of events and ministry strategies for recruitment and accountability.
.Hold a Friday night or Saturday morning men’s rally. Consider including a father/son breakfast as part of the program. Use this time to launch the vision, goals and direction of the renewed men’s ministry.
.Sunday morning speak for congregation and introduce the importance of the men’s role and vision to empower the church. Introduce all leaders and charge all men to get and stay involved and provide feedback and follow-up support via phone
